Agom bridge expansion joints  are structural components designed to provide smooth passage  over the gap  between adjacent sides of a deck joint, while also permitting relative translation and/or rotation of the two sides of a bridge deck (deck movement joint).

Joint Type: AGFLEXJ

giunti_dilatazione

AGOM elastomeric reinforced joints for roads, called AGFLEXJ, are designed to enable service displacements  up to 330 mm (±165 mm) with respect to the bridge decks they are fastened to. Entirely waterproof, they are secured to the structure with suitable anchor bolts. The deformable rubber elements are vulcanised with rolled steel reinforcements made up of two angular plates and a bridge plate. AGFLEXJ, joints also allow displacement of the structure’s parts relative to each other in any direction.

Joint Type: AGFJ

200x200

AGOM expansion joint elements for roads, called AGFJ, are designed and manufactured for traffic safety in accordance with ETAG n.32.
The gap between structures is overpassed by metallic cantilever, finger or trapezoidal shape elements that intersect, thus reducing the voids to small spaces.
Metallic elements are fixed to reinforced concrete using suitable corrosion-resistant galvanized anchor bolts to absorb elastic reactions, mechanical vibrations and other movements of the structure.

AGFJ (Steel)

AGFJ

Expansion joint type AGFJ (Steel) is designed to enable service displacements from ±25 mm up to ±400 mm;

Main characteristics:

  • structural elements in steel S355JR EN10025 galvanised
  • finger shape elements

Joint Type: AGFLEXBJ

AGFLEXBJ2

AGOM elastomeric reinforced joints for roads, called AGFLEXBJ, are designed to enable service displacements  up to 500 mm (±250 mm) with respect to the bridge decks they are fastened to. Entirely waterproof, they are secured to the structure with suitable anchor bolts. The joint movement can be obtained or by deformation of rubber elements vulcanised with rolled steel reinforcements or by compression and extension of rubber bellows. The gap between structures is overcome by a bridge steel zinc coated plate. AGFLEXBJ joints also allow displacement of the structure’s parts relative to each other in any direction.

AGFLEXBJ 400

Joint Type: LONGITUDINAL JOINT

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

AGOM longitudinal joint for roads, called AGLJ, is designed to handle any longitudinal displacements between the adjoining bridge decks they are fastened to. AGLJ Joint also allows transversal displacement up to 30 mm (±15 mm), depression and rotation of each part of the structure. It’s completely waterproof and it’s secured to the structure with anchor bolts. The deformable rubber elements are vulcanised with tough steel reinforcements.

The special antiskid surface increases grip between the joint and the cars tires to improve road safety when driving in rainy or snowy conditions.
